ABOUT DIVERSE CITY ENTERTAINMENT

  • ~ Twenty percent of the United States population is living with a disability. Amongst this population are some of the most talented people on earth! Very few ever get the opportunity to shine on the world's stages.

  • ~ The United Nations estimates there are 650 million people in the world living with a disability.  In the United States alone, there are 56 million Americans with disabilities who remain virtually invisible in media.

  • ~ To put this into perspective, the 20 per cent of Americans between the ages of 5 and 64 who live with a disability are represented by fewer than two per cent of characters on television. Even more dispiriting, only one-half of one per cent of words spoken on TV are spoken by a person with a disability.

Diverse City Entertainment manages and promotes talent, while also developing projects and events for those who can provide the highest level of entertainment and are worthy of the opportunity.

Diverse City Entertainment’s talent has individually entertained, educated, and trained people and government agencies all over the world about diversity and overcoming life’s challenges. They are actors, comedians, singers, musicians, inspirational speakers, and advocates.

Success in the entertainment business is often driven by the support it receives. The decision of whom to place on these world stages is most often determined by the largest demographics of people that will relate and connect to the talent. People with disabilities (over 56 million strong) and their families are some of the most loyal fans and consumers in the U.S. They are the third largest consumer group behind males and females. This untapped group, along with all groups, will undoubtedly connect with Diverse City Entertainment’s talent.
